Joray, my baby ray!

my first paper is tmr and instead of staying home to mug, i volunteered to help an honours student with his dissections of sharks and skates. i get tempted and distracted way too easily. anything to get me away from my books.

i was all excited about having the chance to dissect sharks but when i got there, he told me that all he needed was for me to enter the data he collected. sigh. but it was an easy job and i still at least got to see him cut open the sharks and i got to play around with all the innards that i would otherwise have never seen. so i suppose it's cool.

he got a pregnant ray with rather well-developed young. by the time i got there though, it was already cut up and the babies were everywhere in the container. i was so fascinated by those little things that he suggested putting one in a container of ethanol for me to bring home as a souvenir. i'd have to say it's one of the sweetest thing a guy has ever given me. hahaha!
