in slight contrary to my previous post...i had a pretty fun practical class today!
played around with rat uterus and hormones!
watching the uterus react to the different hormones by contracting and relaxing is pretty darn cool. =p
little things that gives everything a little bit of sense.

unmotivated.
i find it hard to be excited about school and about what i'm learning. everything appears to be just work these days. i'm not even looking forward to my upcoming camp. my focus has been on getting the grades that's required to attain my degree and that's all. i just want to get this year over and done with. how sad.ah... sigh... camp. hopefully, there'll be good weather and no rain. i hope we'll have enough food and motivation to cook. please don't give me six days of freezing and hunger. sigh.. i hope i'll survive marine camp.
way too many assignment deadlines way too close together and way too little time. bah...

que sera sera
When I was young, I fell in loveI asked my sweetheart what lies ahead
Will we have rainbows, day after day
Here's what my sweetheart said.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.

toil and trouble
i need to let you know... 3rd year uni is a KILLER!
all my DEADlines are lined up snugly one after the other. my week-long easter(mid-sem) break has shrunk to ONE day and that one day is meant for recuperation from my SIX-day fieldwork camp. now i know why i've been getting "wow.. you're gonna be doing THREE 3rd year zoo units in one semester?!"
THREE 3rd year Zoology units is NO joke!!!
seriously NOT funny!
i've never been so stress 2 weeks into school. in fact, i was already stressed out in the FIRST week. went to the supermarket the other day to stock up on my ammunition of ICE-CREAM and CHOCOLATES for when the war fully begin. i'm in desperate need of ANY little tiny thing that'll make me happy... ANYTHING at all.
it's times like this when i want to crawl away and bury myself deep in his arms. even a FUN-LOVING SQUABBLE would do me some good but the intermittence of the phone connection makes it difficult. fire a shot and bear half a minute of silence before a return attack kinda takes away the momentum. the SILENCE in between makes it seem like real squabbling rather than a fun-loving spontaneous one.
having someone be INTERESTED in my babbling makes me happy too. and by "interested", i mean ALL attention on my babbling just for that while. the slightest hint that i've lost the attention will dampen my mood and my babbling will come to a halt... even if it's a slight delay in a reply.
i also hate being cut off in the middle of a conversation especially when i have something i'm EXCITED to say. it's hard to get me to talk so when i start babbling, DON'T stop me because it's not going to be easy to get me started again. i'll either forget what i wanna say or i just don't feel like telling you about it anymore. unfortunately, the neccessities of life have DEPRIVED me of my babbling. things like work, taking a meal or a shower, sleep but most of all, the TIME difference.
*****
when i begin to DRIFT away on a fast flowing river (of work), i'll CLING on to something and HOLD on with all my might but should you not CATCH me in time, or should i find myself with a REASON to let go, i will drift with the flow, exclude ALL else and drown myself (with work).

i've got mail!
i laid on my bed, snuggled up under three layers of blanket, and smiled to myself. during those conscious moments before i drifted off to slumber, my thoughts revolved around you... around you and that mail you sent out. you sending out a mail was a surprise in itself, regardless of the contents. it IS your moment alright! the sweetness of that thought added a little more cosiness to the night and i sank a little deeper into the heap of blankets, pulling the edges right up to my chin. i've been falling asleep happy these past few nights.it was all nice and sweet but the anticipation of receiving my mail was killing me. didn't help that you refused to give me the slightest of hints as to what it contains. a brown envelope... the only clue i got.
as i walked down to class today, i saw the delivery van went up the road. i was pretty darn sure my mail was in there. as much as i'd loved to tail that van back up the road and rummage through all the mail to find mine, i forced myself to continue down the hill to class. the minute class was over, i rushed straight to the office to check if my instincts had been right. it was spot on!
i must have looked like an idiot, clutching a brown envelope tightly to my chest with a wide grin across my face. the contents was specified on the front of the envelope (due to customs requirement) which kinda killed the fun a little. still, nothing can take away the excitement of tearing open an envelope and peering in to uncover whatever it is it contains.
the contents of my mail... my little secret. =)
what's next? =p
