magic moment

i've got a backlog of half-written unpublished entries. the ideas do not flow freely and the words does not seem to do the events and feelings any justice. hidden they all stay just for me until maybe someday when i find the right words. doubt it though.

despite the lack of the existence of appropriate vocabulary to describe this perfect moment, i will attempt to document it nevertheless.

everytime i see him laugh, i'm reminded of how lucky i am to be in love with this wonderful man. it is a very special feeling to be able to make the one you love laugh and to just watch him laugh. it's empowering. it's the one thing i missed most... the lost of that power to make him laugh. it rendered me totally helpless and i'm determined never to lose that power again.

the sheer joy lies in watching that initial smile grow into a hearty laugh while his eyes reduce to a mere slit. his lashes so dark and full defining his beautiful eyes. i even love the wrinkles that start appearing on the outer corners of his eyes. when they open a little wider again, those moisten eyes hold a sparkle in them. (yes yes... i LOVE his eyes!) all that makes me feel like the luckiest person alive and i thank god to be able to witness those laughs. add another tickle or two and the magic moment repeats itself.



laugh and i'm sold!
the past 2 years have been simply amazing and i'm looking forward to spending many more laughters with you for years to come.

Sem 6 : Week 3

i'm not sure if it's due to age, stress or otherwise...
but my memory is deteriorating like nobody's business.

i was stuck in the lab last Friday afternoon to get some statistical stuff analysed for my research. then guess what i found out today? i saved all my work on the temporary workdrive in school and forgot to transfer my work to my thumbdrive. GREAT! thing is now i can only access those files in that particular lab on that exact same PC (if it's still there). when i realised this... i was in another lab. so i grabbed my stuff... ran down a floor to the other end of the building, all the while hoping nobody's using that particular computer and that my files are still there.

now... i'm in that lab on that computer and WHEW! my files are still here! but i realised... i forgot my jacket which is up in the other lab!!!

this is freaking me out... SERIOUSLY!!!
and this stresses me out further... bah.

i suppose there's a reason our body parts are permanently attached to us...
otherwise, i might have left my head at home (although sometimes i do feel i've left my brain at home)... or my hand at the cafe... or my leg in the lab... i dunno how i'd ever be able to function.


actually... i might just blame this forgetfulness spell on eric.
hanging out with him too much has caused his forgetfulness to somehow diffuse across to me. mehhhh.....


updated: i need to start working on another set of data but i just realised that the document is at home on my laptop. i forgot to save it on my thumbdrive. darn!

mountainsmith presie

i've been going to check my mail many times a day for the past couple of days.i was rushing to school to meet my supervisor but it didn't stop me from stopping by the office to check my mail first.lucky i did coz i found a little green slip with my name on it in the pigeon hole today! i love little slips because that little green slip entitles me to redeem my package. yay! i got my package, left the office, looked at the declaration form and went "OH MY GOD!!!"!
i saw the brand  and the price.
and i could not believe my darlin' got me that! for those of you who are unfamiliar with the brand... it's one of those kinda atas(high-class) outdoor brands.

then i realised that there was this guy looking at me funny... and then he smiled back at me because i probably had a silly grin on my face. i think i was pretty loud and my expression must have been weird. heh...

anyway, i don't really like declaration forms because i'd always be tempted to look at it and i do. it kinda takes a bit of the fun away because then i know what's in the package before i even open it. so bahhhh to declaration forms. i didn't have time to open it and had to sit through about an hour's meeting with my supervisor, all the while thinking about opening my package. 
 
once the meeting was over, i didn't even wait till i reached home. i just plopped in some quiet area in school and open my parcel. this is what i got....







i really wasn't expecting this at all. i was truly surprise so this is a win for him! when he told me that he got me something i wanted, i thought it was something i told him recently. this.. i told him long long time ago.. before i came back to tassie this year... and he remembered! that's quite something for my very forgetful darlin'. =p on hind sight tho'... yeah it's probably one of those things on my want list that he'll get me and be happy to get me. ha...

now i feel like going for another camp or bushwalk just so i can use it in it's fully glory. 
carrying it on casual day outs just does not do it enough justice.
